For some reason I always assume everybody knows what Reflexology is. But why would you? Unless you are a Reflexologist or are having regular sessions, you probably won’t.
So let me explain this amazing complementary therapy to you.
Reflexology is a holistic and non-invasive complementary therapy which has been practised for 1000 of years in some form but has only been popular in the Western world for the last 100 years or so.
Complementary Therapies work alongside conventional or mainstream therapies not instead of them, for example, the therapies I offer are not called "Alternative Therapies" as I do not replace a GP.
Reflexology is based on the theory that certain reflex points, either on the feet or hands, correspond with various areas of the body. A fully qualified Reflexologist will understand the “map of the foot” and thumb walk accordingly over these points. Imbalanced areas will be worked over several times in order to achieve a state of balance.
